How I started creating handmade toys
From my earliest days, I've been drawn to the art of crafting by hand. To me, it's more than just creating objects; it's about infusing each piece with a touch of soul. This passion took on new meaning in 2012 when I became a mother and welcomed my daughter Sonia into the world.
In those early days of motherhood, I deeply desired to craft something extraordinary for Sonia – something that would always be by her side. That's when I crafted my very first toy, a tiny bunny. It wasn't just a toy; it became Sonia's closest friend and protector. She held it during walks, shared secrets with it at bedtime, and that little bunny became her constant companion.
Birth of ColoredYarn
This beautiful experience became my inspiration. Since then, I've been dedicated to creating toys that embody warmth, love, and boundless imagination. Every toy I make holds a unique story, a piece of my heart, and an intention to bring joy and smiles to baby faces. Having witnessed the sheer delight that my handmade toys brought to the children of close friends, I realized the magic I could spread further.
In 2014, I took a leap of faith and opened my shop on Etsy, sharing my creations with families beyond my own. And now, a new chapter unfolds as I launch my own website, bringing my collection of handcrafted treasures to children worldwide.
